Ethel Rumsey Hylton, 97, a 27-year resident of Carson City, died Nov. 25, 2008. She was born August 2, 1911 in Council Grove, Kan. Ethel is survived by daughter Janet Hylton Shepard of Carson City and son Jerry Hylton of Gardnerville, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be Dec. 20, 2008 at Carson City United Methodist Church. The time is pending. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
