A preliminary hearing is set for later this month for a Carson City man who allegedly had sex with a 12-year-old girl.

A criminal complaint charges William Storrs, 19, with felony sexual assault, felony lewdness with a minor and gross misdemeanor statutory sexual seduction.

According to Detective Bob Motamenpour, Storrs was a neighbor of the girl and her 16-year-old sister.

"They would sneak out of the house and go party with this guy and his buddies drinking and smoking and joking," said Motamenpour.

He said Storrs allegedly had sex with the 12-year-old girl and with her sister on more than one occasion during September.

The charges against Storrs pertain only to the younger sister. The older sister was 16, the age of consent in Nevada, at the time of the liaisons, said Assistant District Attorney Gerald Gardner.

A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 17. Storrs remains in jail on $100,000 bail.
