Lewis Gene Brazzanovich, son of Lewis H. Brazzanovich and Inez (August) Brazzanovich, passed away Christmas Eve 2008. He was born Jan. 5, 1945 in Reno. He was a member of the Bridgeport Indian Colony, California.

For most of his life, he was a journeyman painter in the Carson/Reno area. He graduated from Stewart Indian School and attended Haskell in Lawrence, Kan. He is preceded in death by both parents and mom Shirley Brazzanovich.

He is survived by many family members; brothers and sisters-in-law Edward, Leonard and Sharon, Doug and Amelia, and Dennis; sisters and brother-in-laws Nora and Leroy Perks, Sheri and Desmond Mitchell and Shirley Marie Martinez; aunt Florine Munox and several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Carson Indian Colony Gym with a viewing at 10 a.m. Burial will follow after the service at the Stewart Indian Cemetery. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
