Health Inspections

Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections and the date of inspection (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):

Inspections Dec. 18-19:

- Round Table Pizza, 3325 Retail Drive No. 110-115, restaurant, scored 95 points. Found no measurable chlorine sanitizer being dispensed in the dishwasher. Temperature of the rinse water is 140-150F after several runs. The sanitizer priming mechanism is not operable. The following non-food contact surfaces need to be cleaned. Inside cabinets under the salad bar, cabinets under the beer dispenser, and inside the pitcher refrigerator. Also clean the utensil containers in the dishwash room

- Slotworld, 3879 E. Highway 50, bar/lounge, main bar, scored 100 points.

- Slotworld, 3879 E. Highway 50, bar/lounge, Deli Bar, scored 99 points. Found broken glass inside the bottom of the glass chiller.

- Capital City Dos Amigos, 1621 E. Highway 50 No G, meat department, scored 96 points. Found foods stored in non-food grade bags. (Repeat Violation) Ice machine needs cleaning inside the upper and lower portions. (Repeat Violation)

- Capital City Dos Amigos, 1621 E. Highway 50 No G, restaurant, scored 98 points. Found foods in the reach-in stored in non-food grade bags. (Repeat Violation)

Inspections through Dec. 17:

- McDonald's No. 31007, 3200 Market Street, fast food restaurant, scored 80 points. Found front reach-in display unit holding yogurt at 60.1F (ambient). With all three handsinks blocked and with no paper towels available and no observed handwashing being performed by the staff during this inspection, there is definitely a problem with proper handwashing and hygiene. Found two of the three handsinks deliberately blocked with chairs. The handsink in the prep kitchen had dirty dishes in the basin. The handsink in the dishwash room had the water turned off. (Repeat Violation) Thermometers are missing in all of the reach-in units. (Repeat Violation) Found no measurable Quat sanitizer residual in any of the wiping cloth buckets. Found customer plastic spoons stored improperly at the front service counter. No paper towels are available at any of the three handsinks. (Repeat Violation) The manager does not have a Food Manager card on site. (Repeat Violation)

- Carson Plaza, 2120 E. Long, restaurant, scored 97 points. Found containers of dry foods in the dry storage room unlabeled and containers of prepared foods in the walk-in unlabeled and undated. (Repeat Violation) Found ice cream in serving cups uncovered under the fan in the walk-in freezer. (Repeat Violation)

- El Pollo Loco, 1923 E. Highway 50, restaurant, scored 100 points.

- Burger King No. 2306, 1250 S. Carson Street, restaurant, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, retail grocery, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, produce department, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, meat department, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, bakery, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, deli department, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, restaurant Peet's Coffee & Tea, scored 100 points.

- Raleys No. 114, 2701 S. Carson Street, restaurant Hot Wok, scored 98 points. Pork product was held cold between 41-45F in the prep table bins.
