Fern Ardella Butterfield

Fern Butterfield passed away on February 15, 2008 surrounded by her family at Renown/Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Reno. She was born March 8, 1940 in Walker, Minnesota and became the "lovely bride" of Verne Butterfield on Mach 8, 1957 and made their home in Carson City.

Fern was a member of the Emblem Club. She loved working in her garden, sewing and doing all sorts of arts and crafts; always making something for someone. She was a very loving wife, mother and a caring/giving person to so many lives she touched.

Fern is survived by her husband Verne Butterfield; her children Margaret Whittington, Patsy Watanabe, Robert Butterfield, and Ron Butterfield; granddaughters

Heather Zink and Mindy Tucker; a sister Gail Hill; brothers David, Ben, Glenn, and Tom Dennis.

Preceding her in death were her parents Lawrence and Daisy Dennis; brothers Garth and Roy Dennis; sisters Diane Bruffet and Joy Dennis; great-granddaughter

Natalya Saraceno.

Memorial Services is scheduled for March 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Elk's Lodge, 510 N. Nevada Street, Carson City.
