The future of a wood preservation plant is in the hands of the Lyon County Planning Commission.
The commission will decide at its 9 a.m. meeting Tuesday a tthe administrative complex in Yerington on whether to extend the special use permit for Nevada Wood Preserving on Spruce Avenue in Silver Springs.
Residents have complained about a chemical odor emanating from the plant.
