Reno company selected as Extreme Makover contractor

STAGECOACH -- Reno contractor, West Haven Development, has been selected by the television program Extreme Makeover Home Edition as the contractor to build a home for Mary and Steve Boettcher, a Stagecoach family who founded a Christian youth group four years ago.

Lou Borrego, principal and chief executive officer of West Haven said today that demolition of the existing single-wide mobile home and garage on Cimmaron Trail will begin Sunday at noon.

"We'd love to see as many spectators as possible to watch that event," Borrego said.

Construction is expected to go around the clock from Sunday through Jan. 19.

The Boettcher family is being sent on vacation to Hawaii.

Borrego said the "move that bus" reveal of the new home for the Boettcher family will take place between noon and 3 p.m. Jan. 18.

He referenced one episide that was filmed in a town of 50 people had 17,000 spectators at the reveal.

"Again, we'd like to do a call out to the entire Northern Nevada community to be there and show we as Northern Nevada represent," he said.
