What's closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

State, federal and city offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Carson City School District and Western Nevada College students will return to school Tuesday.

The Carson City Marriage Bureau, 885 E. Musser St., will be closed.

The front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Department will be closed.

Dayton, Douglas County, Silver Springs and Fernley senior centers will be closed. The Carson and Storey County senior centers will be open.

The Carson City Library will be closed.

Lyon County public libraries will be closed. Other Lyon County offices and the marriage bureau will be closed.

The Douglas County public library will be closed. Douglas County government offices will be closed.

Most banks will be closed, but contact your financial institution for information.

Jump Around Carson buses will operate as scheduled. Call 887-2323 for information.

The Nevada State Museum will be open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Curbside garbage collections will be made as usual.

The Nevada Appeal will publish as usual and the office will operate normal business hours.
