Robert George Mallinckrodt, 93, was born March 1, 1915 in Kramer, Calif. to Peter and Elizabeth Mallinckrodt. He was a 30-year resident of Mogollon, N.M. before moving to Gardnerville in 1992.

Bob passed away June 28, 2008 in Carson City. Most of his life he owned an upholstery business. After that he worked on a fire tower and at the Challenge Mine in New Mexico. Bob was a member of the Aqua Exercise Club at Wally's Hot Springs. In his later years, he became a writer, publishing his book, "Nobody's Imperfect". He was known as "Dancing Bob" at the CVI on Friday and Saturday nights.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Hazel Louise Brixner Mallinckrodt; his parents; and his sisters, Genevieve Cavanaugh and Margie Beck.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Shirley Fraser of Minden; grandchildren, Robert Lekumberry and wife, Suzie; Marie Louise Lekumberry, and Jean Baptiste Lekumberry and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Linsey, Anna, and Etienne Lekumberry; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will 10 a.m., Saturday, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will follow in the Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville.
