The store: Antiques, especially furniture items, are sold. He also does custom restoration.
When it opened: The Carson City store opened in May, but he has been in the antique business over 20 years.
How he got interested in the business: He was injured in a forklift accident and started fixing up horse saddles and antiques on the side while he was recovering. An antique dealer noticed his work, and he started to get more serious about the profession.
His favorite kind of antiques: Things made between 1860 and 1910. "I love that Victorian period," he said.
Why he thinks he's drawn to antiques: "There was always something in my blood taking me to something old," he said.
