Tyler W. Coats

Navy Ensign Tyler W. Coats, son of Carol A. Coats of Minden and David W. Wasick of Minden, recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy.

Coats successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional military training, resulting in a bachelor of science degree. The mission of the United States Naval Academy is to develop its midshipmen morally, mentally and physically, in order to prepare combat leaders of character for the Navy and Marine Corps.

Coats is a 2004 graduate of Douglas High School.

Rachel J. Florea

Navy Ensign Rachel J. Florea, daughter of Charlotte A. and Malcolm L. Florea of Washoe Valley, recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy.

Florea successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional military training, resulting in a bachelor of science degree. The mission of the United States Naval Academy is to develop its midshipmen morally, mentally and physically, in order to prepare combat leaders of character for the Navy and Marine Corps.

Florea is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School of Reno.

Traver J. Fordham

Navy Ensign Traver J. Fordham, son of Janice M. and Orlyn W. Fordham of Gardnerville, recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy.

Fordham successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional military training, resulting in a bachelor of science degree.

The mission of the United States Naval Academy is to develop its midshipmen morally, mentally and physically, in order to prepare combat leaders of character for the Navy and Marine Corps.

Fordham is a 2004 graduate of Douglas High School of Minden.
