Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Kolby Ray Sommers, 19, an auto detailer from Carson City, was arrested at 8:11 a.m. Monday at Carson Meadows and Fifth Street on suspicion of felony burglary, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $6,864.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Coroner call on Snyder Avenue at 5:13 a.m.


• Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 8:02 a.m.


• Report of a black, Dodge Dakota stolen from the 1100 block of South Nevada Street at 9:04 a.m. An arrest was made in connection with this report.


• Coroner call on Tacoma Avenue at 12:44 p.m.


• Report of forged checks at Moneytree on Highway 50 East at 2:01 p.m.


• Report of an accident involving a JAC bus and a vehicle at West Long and Mountain streets at 2:39 p.m.


• Accident at Colorado Street and Emerson Drive at 4:37 p.m.


• Graffiti in the 2800 block of North Carson Street at 7 p.m.


• Report of one man striking another on the head with a baseball bat in the 400 block of East Park Street at 10:59 p.m. The victim took himself to the hospital where he stated he was "positive that he lost consciousness." A misdemeanor arrest was made in connection with the case.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Arrest on Highway 339 in Mason Valley at 6:01 a.m.


• Vehicle burglary report on Riverboat Road in Dayton at 6:54 a.m.


• Coroner call on South Whitacre Street in Mason Valley at 1:44 p.m.


• Accident on Mulberry Street in Silver Springs at 2:54 p.m.


• Report of a vacuum cleaner stolen from the bed of a pickup truck parked outside of Scolari's in Fernley at 8:01 p.m.
