Christopher Peek passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 3, 2008. Chris was born October 2, 1960 in Carson City. He attended schools and graduated from Carson High School.
He spent most of his life in Carson, moving to Phelan, Calif. for a period of five years before moving back to Nevada, where he settled in Reno.
He was preceded in death by both of his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father, John V. Peek, and one brother, Thomas Brooks.
Chris is survived by one son, Brandon, one daughter, Jamie, two brothers, John, Jr. and David, and three sisters, Lisa, Jennifer, and Melinda. He is also survived by his mother, Madeline Brooks, his step-mother, Nancy Gassaway, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prior to his open heart surgeries, Chris was an avid bowler, who participated in and won many tournaments, scoring a perfect 300 in many games.
He is deeply loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15 at noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1114 Prater Way, Sparks. Viewing will be held from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walton Funeral Home in Reno.
