Zierenberg to run for Lyon County Commission

Lyon County Code Enforcement Officer Rich Zierenberg will challenge incumbent Don Tibbals for the District III commission seat.

Zierenberg, a former Los Angeles police officer who was appointed code enforcement officer in 2002, also serves as an investigator for District Attorney Bob Auer. He serves on the Central Lyon County Fire Protection District Board, and has served on the Silver Springs Advisory Council and the Central Lyon County Parks Board.

Tibbals has said he intends to run for a third term.
