Carson City will be warm today, hot Friday

Today's weather will be warm with highs 76-86 and northeast winds up to 10 mph shifting to the east in the afternoon.

Tonight, clear with lows 44-54 and east winds 10-15 mph.

Friday, record highs possible. Sunny with highs 82-92 and east winds around 10 mph.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6 a.m. reports all routes open in Northern Nevada with no controls.
