Wine, food and the Wild, Wild West all coming soon

"Love Nevada and The Wild, Wild West!" Does that title get any better? It's time to round up your partner and scoot on down to the 11th Annual Fundraiser for Meals on Wheels at the Carson City Community Center's Bob Boldrick Theater.

If you can't make the first showing, there is a second one. You cowboys and cowgirls can mosey on up to Piper's Opera House in Virginia City.

If you haven't been to the Senior Follies you are missing out. I swear some of these women have the most amazing legs, and the cowboys, well you'll have to come see!

Circle those wagons, friend, and help out this great cause.

Melanie Young tracked me down and asked when the Taste of Downtown is. Her husband won tickets and she doesn't want to miss all the great food and entertainment.

I can't agree more. This event each year is so much fun, the town turns into an enchanted village. I really think this is one event I don't ever miss.

Last year, I caught up with Dave Prehm and found out that his children Steven and Sarah are not children but young adults.

Wow! That's what it's all about - bumping into great friends and enjoying Carson City at its best.

The food is exceptional, the bands are terrific and the atmosphere magical.

It really makes you proud to be part of this wonderful event, helping Advocates to End Domestic Violence raise funds so they may continue assisting battered women and children within our community.

Get your tickets now, and if you want to volunteer they can always use the help! A huge thank you to all the gracious restaurants that participate each year.

I'm thinking Lady Tamales with some Killer Salsa. Mmmmmm! Can't wait!
