Chance of rain in afternoon

Today's weather will be cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs 45-55 with light winds becoming west around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday, mostly cloudy in the morning becoming partly cloudy. Highs 53-63 with west winds around 10 mph shifting to the north in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. Fairview Drive, westbound, is now open from Saliman Road to Roop Street. However, there is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures.

Road work continues on Highway 50, which includes miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

Work continues also on East Fifth Street from Fairview Drive to Saliman Road.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:28 a.m. all roads in the area open with no controls.
