Beatrice Pauline Avakian

To all of her loved ones, friends and family she was simply known as B.

Beatrice Pauline Avakian, born Beatrice Pauline Blackwell on February 25, 1925 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Howard Blackwell and Elizabeth Canfield, passed away on October 16, 2008.

She is survived by her three children; Grant Davis, Deana Elizabeth Sayles, and Tommy Davis, her stepson Robert Avakian, and her husband of 44 years Ben Avakian. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Dennis, Julie, Michelle, and Deana and five great-grandchildren. And is now with her grandson Michael.

She loved her animals and mended every living thing that crawled, limped or hobbled into her presence. The turkeys, dogs, cats, goats, sheep, birds, monkeys, and coyotes of the world will miss her.

Her love of Juicy Fruit gum, lemon drops and anything chocolate. The smell of rose and lavender in her home. The piles of books around her and her constant tenacity. All of it will be fondly remembered. We love you Mother.
