A man armed with a knife and his face covered with sunglasses and fabric robbed an East Carson City 7-Eleven early Wednesday morning.

Carson Sheriff's Detective Craig Lowe said the man, who appeared to be in his 20s, entered the convenience store at 3083 Highway 50 East and came up behind the lone female clerk as she filled coffee pots about 2:20 a.m.

"I want all your money," the clerk told police the man said as he gestured toward the cash register, an open pocket knife in his right hand.

Lowe said the suspect berated the clerk for taking too long.

"Hurry up, hurry up. Don't play games with me," she quoted him saying before he grabbed the money and dashed out the door.

The man was last seen running east along the building then disappearing south on Airport Road into an apartment complex to the rear of the store.

Lowe said the bandit is described as at least 5-feet 8-inches tall, with a slender build and dark brown hair. He wore a dark-colored brand sweatshirt with yellow or orange writing, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The entire incident was captured on store surveillance.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lowe at (775) 887-2020 ext. 41403.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man. Anonymous tips can be made to Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
