Applications sought for Carson CIty Airport Board


The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Carson City Airport Board. This Committee oversees all matters pertaining to the Carson City Airport. The openings on the Authority are for: Fixed Base Operator and Industrial: Must be a manufacturer in the Carson City Industrial Airpark, but not a fixed base operator. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Oct. 15. Volunteer applications may be obtained by visiting http://www.carson-city.nv.us or call 887-2100.

Romance paperbacks on sale at library


The Friends of the Carson City Library have received a huge donation of a private collection of romance paperback novels, all in excellent condition. They will be for sale at 25 cents each or 5 for $1, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop Street. All proceeds benefit the Library. Carson City Kids Bike Rodeo


Carson City Kids Bike Rodeo sponsored by We Can, Muscle Powered, the Nevada Department of Transportation, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety and the Carson City Parks and Recreation Division, 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 27, Pony Express Pavilion, Mills Park. Helmets and bikes will be checked for safety. Then a course in "holding the line", safety stops, looking over the left should , panic stops and a slalom course will be offered.
