Weekend outlook mostly sunny

Today's weather will be sunny with highs 76-86 with light winds becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon. Tonight, clear with lows 45-55 with west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.

Saturday, sunny in the morning becoming partly cloudy with highs 77-87 and light winds.

Sunday, sunny in the morning becoming partly cloudy with highs 79-89 with light winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Resurfacing continues on Highway 50; traffic controls are in effect during all hours of the day with lane variations. Work includes paving, miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is still in effect. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

Road work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. along Highway 395 through Carson City has begun and includes paving, miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:11 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
