Search resumes for missing woman

Searchers resumed looking for missing Sun Valley woman Leslie Gray Wednesday morning.

So far the search has focused on the river banks and along the East Fork of the Carson River near Hangman's Bridge in Alpine County.

Gray's vehicle was found parked for a week at a popular spot for hikers.

In addition to searching for the 51-year-old woman, the Alpine County Sheriff's Department has opened a criminal investigation in the case.

Aiding Alpine County in the search has been the Douglas and Washoe County Sheriff's offices, Placer County, Amador County, Merced County, El Dorado County, Calaveras County sheriff's departments, Hillsboro, Texas, Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol helicopter, California Emergency Management and the California Rescue Dog Association dogs teams.

Gabbs woman charged in DUI wreck

FALLON " A 57-year-old Gabbs woman was arrested Tuesday morning for killing a Fallon man in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 50 east of Sand Mountain on March 9.

Gayle M. Larnin, 57, is charged with driving under the influence causing death and driving left of center in her vehicle before striking the sedan driven by Guy J. Regan, 57.

Regan died from injuries at the scene of the accident.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen toxicology results revealed Larnin's blood-alcohol content to be .16, twice the legal limit.

She is being held in the Churchill County Jail on $50,100 bail.

If convicted of driving under the influence causing death, Larnin faces a sentence of two to 20 years in prison and a fine between $2,000 to $5,000.
