After day one of the Carson Invitational the Carson High boys golf team sits four strokes behind leaders, Heritage High from California.

The Senators shot a team score of 391, breaking 400 for the first time at Silver Oak Golf Course.

Leading Carson was Jonathan Singer with a 75. Jason Davis shot a 77 followed by Ryan Livermore's 78. Steven Valdez shot an 80 and Garrett Gingell had an 81.

"It was a strong performance for us today," coach Terry Gingell said. "The boys are playing very well."

Carson looks to keep the momentum alive during today's final round of the Carson Invitational.

The 13 teams will play Eagle Valley West starting at 8 a.m.

Other teams in the invite include: Fallon, Douglas and Spanish Springs.
