FALLON (AP) " A Fallon man with 19 prior felony convictions has been sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for two more such convictions.

District Judge David Huff handed down the sentence to 39-year-old Ivan Sanderson, who drew the sentence for stealing a car, compact discs and a Blackberry phone.

Churchill County Deputy District Attorney Ben Shawcroft says Sanderson "has never learned his lesson" and keeps committing the same crimes.

Sanderson's attorney, Jesse Kalter, says his client was thrown out on the streets at the age of 13 and had to do whatever was necessary to survive.

Sanderson said he never in his life asked for or received help for his drug addiction.

He received two terms of five to 20 years in prison to run consecutively.
