Thanks to business leaders who helped with CMS program
The staff and students of Carson Middle School would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen who volunteered their time to help with our mock job interviews.
Each eighth-grade student was interviewed twice. This exercise teaches our young people a great deal about adult communication and the interviewing process.
Without the dedication and expertise of our volunteers, this lesson would not be possible.
Our sincerest thanks,
Carson Middle School staff and students
Thanks for donations to student chess club
The members of the newly organized Fritsch Elementary School Chess Club would like to thank Wal-Mart on Market Street for their generous donation of new chess sets.
For many of the 3rd-5th graders in the club, this is their first experience with chess. Students learned a game that can benefit them both in their classroom studies and they can enjoy the rest of their lives.
Rhonda Menke and chess club,
Donations made Flycaster fundraiser a great success
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the participation of the community, the 2009 High Sierra Flycasters fundraiser was a great success.
This enables us to continue our work with education, habitat restoration, conservation and especially our support for Reel Recovery, Casting for Recovery and Reel Kids. Thanks also to Liz Wierauch for the photo show and Linda Sandstrom for the music.
