The Fresno Grizzlies used three two-run outbursts and five innings of shutout baseball by Billy Sadler to knock off the Fresno Grizzlies 6-0 in a Pacific Coast League game Monday night.

Reno dropped to 7-11 and Fresno improved to 6-13.

Sadler allowed three hits, fanned five and walked four in his five-inning stint. Three relievers, including Alex Hinshaw allowed two hits over the final four innings.

Fresno took a 2-0 lead in the first when John Bowker walked and scored on a two-run homer by Jesus Guzman.

In the third, Clay Timpner singled and moved to second on a single by Kevin Frandsen, who went 3-for-4. Both runners moved up on Bowker's infield out. Timpner scored on a wild pitch by the Aces' Billy Bckner. Guzman followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0.

In the fifth, Frandsen hit a two-out single and scored on Bowker's first homer of the season for a 6-0 lead.

Trent Oeltjen led the Reno offense with two hits, while Luke Carlin, Ruben Gotay and Guillermo Reyes added a hit apiece.

The closest the Aces came to scoring was the third when they loaded the bases with two outs, and Josh Whitesell fanned to end the inning.

Frandsen, one of the Giants' last cuts, scored twice and had three hits. Timpner added two hits as did Guzman, who also finished with three RBI.

The Aces look to salvage a series split in the finale tonight as Travis Blackley (0-2, 7.11 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while the Grizzlies will counter with Ryan Sadowski (1-1, 3.12 ERA).

First pitch from Chukchansi Park is again set for 7:05 p.m. and can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM.

Reno will return to Aces Ballpark on Thursday, April 30 to kick-off a four-game homestand against the Portland Beavers, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
