Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 63-year-old retired Carson City woman was arrested at 5:03 p.m. on the corner of Horizon and Silver Sage Drive on suspicion of first-offense drunken driving, probation violation and a turn signal violation. Bail was set at $4,199.

• A 19-year-old student was arrested at 7:47 p.m. in the 1400 block of Shadowridge Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132. He allegedly pushed his mother onto the couch and choked her after she refused to buy his girlfriend a gift on e-Bay.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• A woman reported at 2:20 p.m. that she and her husband just had a physical fight in the 7600 block of Winchester Road.

• Someone reported a damaged sign and another one vandalized in the 5100 block of Deodar Street at 4:35 p.m.

• A caller reported that a reckless driver nearly hit his daughter in the 700 block of River Avenue at 6:35 p.m.

• A caller reported at 9:12 p.m. that a man was in the backyard of her home in the 1200 block of White Bluffs Circle and trying to get into her daughter's bedroom.
