Jessie Haywood Cartwright died Aug. 2, 2009, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Crews, Texas, to Bill and Ila Cartwright. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; son, John Richard Cartwright; daughters, Donna Jean Roth and Susan Marie Kennedy; and sisters, Juanita McCoy and Billie Smith. Burial will be at Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
