Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Michael Scott Southern, 40, a painter from Carson City, was arrested at 1:59 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, driving on a suspended registration, no insurance and probation violation. Bail was set at $8,839.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Accident at Musser and Stewart streets at 7:58 a.m.

• Report of a counterfeit $100 bill at a Carson Street casino at 9:24 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary report on Kitchen Drive at 10:27 a.m.

• A laptop, video game console, and video games reported stolen from a home on Desert Peach Drive at 3:08 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 1500 block of North Division Street at 5:46 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 800 block of Crain Street at 6:25 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 2700 block of Read Court at 8:13 p.m.

• A woman reported her boyfriend stole $540 from her.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• A Lyon County school bus driver reported a student's father was so intoxicated he could barely walk as he waited with his vehicle to pick up his child from the bus stop. The bus driver refused to release the child to the parent. A misdemeanor arrest was made on Fifth Street in Silver Springs at 4:09 p.m.

• Someone broke a window and stole a purse and cell phone from a vehicle parked outside a fitness center on Penny Lane in Fernley at 8:17 p.m.
