South Carson Burger King closes, new location planned

The Burger King at 1250 S. Carson St. closed its doors Saturday.

Franchise owner Jill Lillaney said the lease on the property was up and she is now "diligently" looking to establish a new store farther south on Carson Street.

"Carson has moved farther south, so we are looking for a location father south," Lillaney said. "We'd like to stay in Carson. We'd like to have two represented, but we need a good spot."

Lillaney also owns the Burger King at 3589 N. Carson St., which is currently undergoing a remodel and is expected to be completed in March 2010, she said.
