Music club meets next week

The Carson City Music Club will meet 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9 at the Performance Hall of the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. The theme will be "Time for Two," with duets both instrumental and vocal, ranging from Bach to Gershwin. The student of the month will be Silvia Lawson. Cost is $8 at the door; children under 18 are free. Refreshments are served after the program. For information, call 720-9058.

'The Heart of the Quandary' at CCAI

"The Heart of the Quandary," multimedia works by Ellie Honl will be exhibited at the Capital City Arts Initiative Courthouse Gallery, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, Feb. 6 through May 29. A reception for the artist will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6. The CCAI Courthouse Gallery is located at 885 E. Musser St. For information, call 721-7936.

Breastfeeding class offered

Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center hosts a breastfeeding class, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1600 Medical Parkway. If you are planning to breastfeed your baby, this course will help you understand the benefits and will explain what to expect while nursing. To register and for information, call 445-5131.

Republican Lincoln Day Dinner slated

Carson City Republican Central Committee will host their Lincoln Day Dinner, Friday, Feb. 13 at the Carson Nugget, 507 N. Carson St.

A no-host bar will be at 6 p.m., with a dinner buffet at 7 p.m.

Congressman Dean Heller is the keynote speaker.

A VIP cocktail party at the Governor's Mansion is at 5 p.m. The dinner buffet is $40 per person and the VIP reception $35; $70 to attend both functions.
