Nevada State Museum offers a variety of exhibits

- Slot Machines: The Fey Collection, in the South Changing Gallery, held over by popular demand. Call 687-4810, ext. 239 or 245.

- The Art of Nature, through August 2009 at the Nevada State Museum in the Upper Middle Gallery. Photographs, sketches and paintings of wildlife by Sharon K. Shafer. The exhibit also includes natural history specimens from the museum's collections. Call 687-4810, ext. 236.

Yerington

'Chemical Acts' presented at library

Lyon County Central Branch Library hosts "Chemical Acts", 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, 20 Nevin Way, Yerington. "Chemical Acts" is a program presented by Sgt. Parsons of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office tailored to teens and their parents that provides descriptions of specific drugs, how the drugs affect the body, and indications of substance abuse. A Driving Under the Influence (DUI) simulator will be used in the program for participants. iTune door prizes, refreshments, and other prizes will be available for those attending. Call 463-6645.
