Gertrude "Trudy" Sobka, 94, a resident of Carson City for 25 years, passed away Jan. 11, 2009 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Trudy was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Prescott, Ark. She owned and operated two cocktail lounges in Los Gatos, Calif. for over 12 years. Trudy loved her yard and garden but devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, two sisters, one brother and a grandchild.
Among her survivors include one son Ray (Jeanne) Jeffcoat of Isle of the Palms, S.C. and one daughter Grace Doble of Citrus Heights, Calif.; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at in the Walton's Chapel of the Valley with vault burial following in the Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
