Andrew Fernandez (Cano)

Andrew Fernandez (Cano), 82, a Carson City resident, died Jan. 11, 2009. Mr. Fernandez was born Nov. 21, 1926 to Fernando and Feliciana (Golzarri) Cano in Westwood, Lassen County, Calif. Among his survivors are wife Ana Sofia; children Diana Alsop (Gene) of Elk Grove, Calif.; Andrea Fong (Burke) of Dixon, Calif.; Racquel Fernandez, of Indio, Calif.; Andrew Fernandez Jr., (Margarita) of Vallejo, Calif., Martin Fernandez (Deidre) of Redding, Calif. and Ana Lorena McCoy (Dan) Paso Robles, Calif.; sisters Suzanne (Franciska) Fernandez, Louise Arnerich, Elisa Fernandez all of Sacramento, Calif., Inez De Fazo and Jane Estremera of Davis, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be 10 a.m., today at Corpus Christi Catholic Church . Burial with military honors will follow at Eastside Memorial Park , Minden.
