Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- Daniel Jacobsen, 19, a transient, was arrested at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony uttering a forged instrument, obtaining money under false pretenses and theft. Bail was set at $20,000.

- Kelly Lynn Davis, 22, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Osman Circle on suspicion of felony uttering a forged instrument and theft. She was additionally booked at 2 p.m. on two counts of felony attempted robbery. All charges are related to the alleged theft or attempted theft of purses from a restaurant and casino. Bail was set at $25,000.

- Robert James Lappin, 51, a sales engineer from Santa Rosa, Calif., was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony misconduct of a public officer and unlawful acts regarding computers. Lappin, in his position as an IT employee with the Department of Public Safety, illegally accessed co-workers e-mails and used a state owned laptop to conduct personal business, according to a criminal complaint. Bail was set at $2,500.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Coroner call on Koontz Lane at 5:15 a.m.

- Coroner call at 8:31 a.m. at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

- Coroner call on Koontz Lane at 8:34 a.m.

- Accident at Como Street and Saliman Road at 12:34 p.m.

- Report of a laptop stolen from the 1600 block of Airport Road at 1:56 p.m.

- A woman reported her fiance just punched her in the head on Champion Street at 2:59 p.m.

- Report at 7:41 p.m. that a burglar entered a Marsh Road home either through a back window or garage door and stole jewelry.

- A mother reported at 10:20 p.m. that her 14-year-old daughter had not yet returned home from school.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Accident on Stagecoach Hill at 8 a.m.

- Misdemeanor arrest on Spruce Street in Silver Springs at 4:54 a.m.
