Carolyn Grace Benedetti, 77, a Carson City resident since 2000, died June 26, 2009, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born September 12, 1931, in Pasadena, Calif.
Carolyn was a active member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldo; one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her children; Cindy (Rick) Pennington, Mark (Tracy) Humboldt, Bruce (Nancy) Benedetti, Allison (Steve) Rhoden and James Benedetti; loving sister, Mary Weaver; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
Carolyn was a life long advocate for animal welfare. Memorials are requested to ASPCA/HSUS in her name. Rosary services will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley and a funeral mass will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, in the chapel at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community. Inurnment at a later date will be in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
