James E. Mathis, 62, of Carson City, was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Michigan and died June 24, 2009, in Carson City. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patrice Mathis; his daughter, Patty Mathis; son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Melissa Mathis; and grandson, Ryan J. Mathis all of Carson City; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lin Mathis of Oregon. At Jim's request, there will be no services. Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
