Jack Douglas Brace, 71, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2009, in his home in Minden with his wife at his side.

Jack was born in Flint, Mich., August 2, 1937. He served in the U.S. Air Force, then as an industrial radiologist. He pursued his love of flying by attending school for flight training instructors while crop dusting. Soon he met the love of his life, Meredith Roelofs. They married June 20, 1971, in Reno. Jack enjoyed flying, sailing, golf and most of all, sharing his life with his wife of 38 years. He retired seven years ago as a quality control and safety inspector in the manufacturing industry. Since then he actively participated in his home owners association.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife Meredith. He is well known for his sense of humor, good nature, and as a friend to all. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on July 11, 2009, at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, 1380 Hwy 395, Gardnerville. Reception to follow at the family's home.
