Mary Sue Whatley

Mary Sue Whatley, 79, died July 12, 2009, at her home in Yerington. She was born in Telluride, Colo., on March 31, 1930. She is survived by her children Jay (Susan) Whatley of Sparks, Nev., Lori Whatley of Yerington, Kelly (Tim) Veil of Yerington, and Tracey Makiej of Grass Valley, Calif.; brothers Robert Alexander of Silver City, N.M. and Kirk Alexander of Norwood, Colo.; sisters Irene Kinion of Montrose, Colo., Helen Heald of Olathe, Colo., and Betsy Davis of Norwood, Colo; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208, Yerington, with a reception to follow at the Mason Valley Country Club.
