Margarita Christina Leonis and Kyle Sager recently announced their engagement.
Margarita is the daughter of Michele (Oxoby) Leonis, originally from Gardnerville, and the late Juan Jose Leonis, originally from Dona Maria, Spain. Kyle is the son of Debbie Taylor of Sequim, Wash., and Mel Sager of Cowiche, Wash.
Margarita is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating in May 2006 with bachelor of arts. She received a masters in education in May 2007 from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village. She works as a kindergarten teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Yakima, Wash.
Kyle graduated from Selah High School in 2001. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating in December 2005 with a bachelor of science degree. He currently works as a sales representative for Washington Fruit and Produce in Yakima.
They plan to wed Aug. 15 at Genoa Lakes Golf Course. For their honeymoon, they plan on attending a Duke Basketball game at Cameron Stadium and will tour the east coast in spring of 2010.
The couple currently reside in Selah, Wash., where they have purchased a home.
