Rotary scholarship winners

Cheryl Stoddard of Carson City Rotary presents Heather Costello with the Student of the Week award at the June 2 meeting. The Carson High senior was class president this year. She plans to go to Fordham University in the fall.

Alli Collier will spend a year in Chile as one of two Carson City students participating in Rotary Youth Exchange. This past year the Carson City Rotary Club sponsored three local students to spend a year abroad, and hosted three, from France, Italy and Switzerland, who attended Carson High School. Students do not have to be children of Rotary members to participate.
