Obituary: John Antone Frances

John Antone Frances, a resident of Washoe Valley, died May 20, 2009 in Reno. He was born May 1, 1923 to Joseph and Augusta Francis in Jamestown, Calif. Among his survivors are wife Yvonne, sons Joseph (Venice) Francis, Jack Francis, and Robert (Tootie) Francis; daughter Johnelle Martinez; stepdaughters Sheralee (Gary) Catt and Cynthia (Ben) Jones, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A graveside military service and interment was held May 28, 2009 in Sonora, Calif. with interment at Jamestown City Cemetery, Jamestown, Calif. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, 920 E. Corbett Street, Carson City. The family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer Foundation of Northern Nevada, 1301 Cordone Avenue, Reno, Nev. Mountain View Mortuary, Reno was in charge of arrangements.
