Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- A 19-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 1:02 a.m. in the 3000 block of Douglas Avenue on suspicion of misdemeanor discharging fireworks, misdemeanor obstructing an investigation and minor consuming alcohol. Several neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area. Deputies located the home on Douglas Street where the teen, who was intoxicated, had been setting off bottle rockets. Bail was set at $1,776.

- A 22-year-old fast food worker from Carson City was arrested at 11:31 p.m. at Robinson and Stewart streets Monday on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court, driving without a license, not having a child restrained in a safety seat and speeding. Bail was set at $663.

- A 62-year-old man was arrested at 12:56 a.m. in a Carson Street casino. Despite being barred from the business, the man returned and fell asleep in the Keno lounge, according to the arrest report. Bail was set at $3,132.

- A 19-year-old contracted newspaper carrier from Carson City was arrested at 2:43 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of North Saliman Road on a Reno warrant for failure to appear on a speeding ticket and failure to have insurance. He was also cited for having a tail light out. Bail was set at $1,012

- A 61-year-old contracted newspaper carrier from Carson City was arrested at 9:41 a.m. Saturday at Mallory Way and Roop Street on a Carson City misdemeanor warrant for domestic battery and speeding. Bail was set at $3,087.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

- Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical at 3:06 a.m.

- Report of a fast food register missing more than $500 at 10:27 a.m.

- Attempted burglary report in the 700 block of Highland Street at 11:43 a.m.

- Accident at South Roop Street and Little Lane at 12:59 p.m.

- Report of threats at a convenience store in the 1600 block of East Fifth Street at 2:36 p.m. Caller stated a woman who identified herself as "Big Mama" was angry for being asked for identification. Caller said "Big Mama did not want to comply with carding policy and then threatened to beat her up."


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

- Arrest on Highway 50 East at 10 Mile Road in Stagecoach at 12:38 a.m.

- Caller reported at 2:16 a.m. two people just broke into his home on Wedge Lane in Fernley.

- Identity theft report on Blue Jay Drive in Fernley at 11:19 a.m.


Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

- Report of a pit bull found on Six Mile Canyon Road at 12:47 p.m.
