LAS VEGAS (AP) " Police say two men are in custody on suspicion of burglary after a chase and an officer-involved shooting in northwest Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police Lt. Lewis Roberts says one officer fired one shot toward one of the men as he ran from a vehicle cornered in a cul-de-sac about 12:30 p.m.
The shot missed, and no one was wounded.
No names have been released, and it's not clear yet if the suspects were armed. Roberts says no weapon was immediately found.
Police say the officers chased a white pickup truck with two men inside based on a witness description of men seen near a recent burglary.
The officer who fired the shot is on paid leave pending an investigation.
