Our loving mother Sharon left us March 24, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born to Woodrow and Cassie Davis in Hamilton, Mont. Oct. 12, 1940. Sharon was a 35-year resident of Carson City, and along with the love of her life, Charlie Buchheister owned Capital Jewelers. Charlie passed from us Aug. 16, 1998. Sharon retired from the business 18 months ago and has been residing in Hermiston Ore. close to her daughter Darcie and son-in-law Jim. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Darcie Westin of Hermiston Ore., Dalene Griffiths and Dawn Smith both of Gardnerville; stepson Jim Buchheister; daughter-in-law Faye of Reno, stepdaughter Cathy Barr and son-in-law Brent of Medford Ore. She also had six grandsons Eric Hochendonner of Oregon, Levi Westin of Hermistion, Ore., John Lindstrom, Bill and Jay Griffiths of Gardnerville; Sam and Hannah Barr from Medford; granddaughter Jamie Buchheister of Reno and three great-grandchildren.
The family has asked that donations be made in her name to the Merriner Cottages in Carson City in care of Carson Tahoe Foundation. Envelopes will be also be available at the reception. A reception will be 2-5 p.m., at Silver Oak Country Club, downstairs.
