U.S. Senator John Ensign is scheduled to speak at a special breakfast program at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 at the Carson Nugget.

The event is co-hosted by the Northern Nevada Development Authority and the Business Council of Douglas County.

Senator Ensign will share his views on the developments taking place in Washington, D.C., concerning the economic recovery plans and their impact on Nevada's business community. He will address his plans on how Nevada can maintain a viable economy. The senators will also take questions from the audience.

Ensign is the ranking Republican member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee, and also serves on the Budget Committee; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; Interstate Commerce, Trade and Tourism Committee; and Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Committee, just to name a few.

"We know the business community wants to know what is happening in D.C. and how that may affect their bottom line," said Rob Hooper, NNDA executive director.

To promote the importance of the business resource organizations, agencies and other programs in the region, representatives will be on hand to discuss their services and role in assisting the business community.

Breakfast is $20 per person with reservation, $35 at the door. Online reservations available at www.nnda.org or call 775-883-4413. Reservations are recommended.
