Mills, an old war veteran, who lived on the old Combs ranch, went on a celebrating jag. He procured a shotgun, ammunition and turned loose. The officers took a roundabout chase and after two hours of terror for eastern Carson residents, he was found asleep on his arms. He landed in the cooler and is repenting at leisure.

Assembly Bill 663 reclaims the $5 million the state agreed to put into rebuilding the railroad between Carson City and Virginia City during the 1995 session. The project is a key to making Carson City, Dayton, Gold Hill and Virginia City into a destination for tourists.
