Grasshoppers: As the train from Virginia reached a half-mile the other side of Mound House, it struck an immense cloud of grasshoppers bound for this direction.

Sparks from a passing locomotive ignited a fire in four different places on the Brunswick Mill. A special fire train was rushed from this city, that along with a bucket brigade and two or three lines of hose from the fire train stopped the fire. Brunswick is one of the largest mill buildings in the state. No one was hurt.

Archie Pozzi announced that the 27th million Ford car manufactured will be in Carson City. Governor E. P. Carville is expected to be at Pozzi's to participate in ceremonies of welcome.
