The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Dayton High School Band Boosters hosted a raffle to raise much needed funds for marching band uniforms. Damon Etter, a teacher at DHS and Paul Boga, a proud band parent, drew the winning tickets as the jazz band cheered.

Mike Riggs of Carson City and Ron Arnett of Dayton were the lucky winners of the seven-day Mexican Riviera Cruises that were donated by an employee of Pinnacle Construction.

The Lyon County School board has approved the purchase of the new uniforms, which will arrive just in time for the next marching band session. Funds still are needed to complete the band fundraising efforts. Future donations will be greatly appreciated and can be sent to the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce at P.O. Box 2408, Dayton, NV 89403.
