With financial turmoil all around us, the free seminar "Financial Issues in Tough Times (Trusting God with Everything We Have)" continues 8:30 a.m. -2 p.m. today at Hilltop Community Church.

The seminar offers the biblical viewpoint that, since Jesus is Lord of all, we can act wisely with the resources entrusted to us, be generous toward others, and live with hope, even in difficult times.

Classes include "Where Did all My Money Go?", "Estate Planning Basics," "Retirement is Tomorrow: What Do I Do Now?", "Little (but important) Ways to Save Money," "Coupons, Bargains, and Money-Saving Tips," Saving Dinner: How to Get a Meal on the Table Within your Budget," "Financial Conflict: A Biblical Perspective," "Unemployment and Foreclosure: Where to Turn for Help," and "Responding to the Needs of Others when Times are Tight."

Saturday's seminar begins with a continental breakfast and a includes a break for lunch.

Arise! Cry Out! World Wide Day of Prayer is schedule 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Nov. 14 at Sierra Bible Church, 3195 Everett Drive, Reno.

In celebration of 25 years of prayer for children and schools, Moms In Touch International is hosting a historic prayer event, inviting Christian women from around the world to gather together to "Arise! Cry Out!" for the generations. Don't miss this unprecedented prayer event.

The Potters House Christian Church will hold a Grand Opening Revival from 11 a.m.-noon, Nov. 14.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School will have a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today.

The bazaar will take place in the school gym at 1887 Mountain St., Carson City.

A variety of vendors will have booths, plus there will be a bake sale, and super silent auction.

Carson Valley United Methodist Church's Holiday Craft Faire is 9 a.m.-3 p.m., today at the church at 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

Handcrafted decorations, jewelry, gently used treasures, home-backed goods, bulbs, much more will be available. There also will be a silent auction and raffle. Chili lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 775-782-4600.

Nov. 14

The United Methodist Women host its Holiday Faire 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the church located at 412 Musser St.

The fair is in conjunction their neighbor, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, which will hold its holiday fair 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Come to the blocks of Musser, Division and Telegraph and enjoy both.

The Methodist Men will serve steaming hot soup and corn bread from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 882-1436.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church Craftique Open House is 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at 1201 N. Saliman Road.
